Nordic Cryo-EM Network
cryoNET
Connecting world-class cryogenic electron microscopy facilities across the Nordic countries to advance structural biology research
About cryoNET
cryoNET is a collaborative network connecting cryogenic electron microscopy facilities across the Nordic countries. Our mission is to advance structural biology research by facilitating access to cutting-edge cryo-EM technologies, promoting knowledge sharing, and fostering collaboration between researchers and institutions.
Established with funding from leading research foundations, Novo Nordisk Foundation (Denmark) and Knut and Alice Wallenbergs Foundation (Sweden), our network brings together expertise from multiple facilities to solve complex structural biology challenges and drive innovation in the field.

Past Events
8th cryoNET Symposium 2025
1-2 October 2025Rotundan, Umeå University, Sweden
The symposium will highlight the latest discoveries facilitated by cryo-EM research and new directions that are emerging, through a panel of distinguished speakers. Furthermore, selected talks by participants and an interactive poster session will facilitate networking and insights to local expertises.
1st SciLifeLab Workshop on MicroED
10-12 September 2025SciLifeLab, Solna, Sweden
A 3-day hands-on workshop on MicroED (Microcrystal Electron Diffraction) featuring theory, practical lab sessions, sample preparation, microscopy, and data processing. Participants will work in small groups with expert tutors from leading universities.
Blegdamsvej 3B, 2200 Copenhagen N, Denmark
The aim of the course is to provide training in cryoEM image processing including the latest developments in the field to intermediate or advanced users.
